SUPERTRAIN is the annual model railway show for the general public and modellers, currently held in the Genesis Centre north east Calgary with the 2017 dates being April 22 and 23.
Our club offers clinics throughout both days on basic model railroading, from scales, to layout construction, basic wiring and DCC, to train sets for beginners and scenery making for all.
In addition we have a booth at the show where you can see basic and advanced tree making, trestle building from stir sticks, and for the kids, the chance to build a cardboard train station by themselves, with help from us and as little interference from parents as we can encourage. We’ve been helped in this latter effort by local boy scout troops as well as Dave’s grand kids.
The station building has rather consumed our lives while at the booth but before and after the clinics we are delighted to help and answer any questions about model railroading.
